After six years in the making, the new Macallan distillery and visitor experience in Speyside is now open!
Located in the heart of the 390-acre Macallan Estate, the existing and new distillery sit side by side next to the home of the brand, Easter Elchies House.
Designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners, the new distillery is a "celebration of the past, present and future", and “embodies the care, passion and superior craftsmanship that goes into every bottle” of Macallan.
After you have enjoyed a barista coffee from Red Roof Coffee and finished a tour of the Woolmill with one of our experienced volunteer tour guides, we recommend you head over to The Macallan for The Macallan Six Pillars Tour. The Macallan is only a 13-minute drive from Knockando Woolmill.
During a tour of the distillery you will discover the foundation stones that underpin the character of The Macallan and how the single malt whisky is created.
