Our pond can be found at the top of the Mill's site. It is a beautiful, tranquil spot to retreat to with lunch on a summer's day. Water runs through the pond to the lade of our water wheel making the pond an important part of the story of the Mill.
Last year, however, the pond became overwhelmed with by the huge growth of the wetland plant reedmace. The great height and density of the plant is suffocating the pond and its abundant wildlife.

Thanks to hard work by Trustees, some of the tangled mass of roots and growth was cleared, but it became apparent that the mammoth task will require machinery to finish.

We hope to have the pond back to its full glory for the beginning of the summer season in May to once again be admired and enjoyed.
