 STRATHSPEY TWEED

Tweed is timelessly classic so a great choice if you are looking to revamp your interior space!

Our luxury Strathspey tweed is renowned for its durable, heavyweight quality yet it’s still beautifully soft and robust enough to endure the wear and tear of everyday living. Perfectly practical in the home as upholstery fabric, great for sofas, chairs, curtains… even carpet!

The above images shows our hard-wearing Strathspey Tweed ‘Fada’ laid as carpet for a customers’ study room.

(Local business, Eden Interiors, based in Cullen specialise in interior and soft furnishings. They offer clients a wide range of fabric including our Strathspey Tweed to use for upholstery and curtains.)

Below we have a pair of bespoke George Sherlock http://www.georgesherlock.com armchairs upholstered in our Strathspey tweed ‘Slioch’ for a local customer.

This useful small two seat sofa covered in our Strathspey Tweed ‘Canisp’ is available to purchase in our onsite shop. The cushion cover shows our Rothes Tartan, designed and woven at Knockando to an order from Rothes village council. Lengths of this tweed have been bought by customers and made into extremely smart kilts!

This one-off piece has been covered with our Strathspey tweed 'Ben Aden', decorated with cream piping. It was upholstered by Raymond Mackenzie in Lyanbryde.

A rare glimpse of the Mill house staircase covered in our Strathspey tweed ‘Bannoch’. Leading up to our design room and office, the fabric has stood the test of time and still looks as good as the day it was laid in 2012, when the site was restored.

Offering a classic country home finish our Strathspey tweed also looks great as curtains. These hang in our visitor centre and act as a divide between our office and shop. At 680/700gms per metre the cloth provides a luxurious drape, blocks out the harshest of light and is guaranteed to keep the heat in on colder days.

Looking for something more contemporary? Our range of limited edition herringbone cloth consists of three, fresh colours for summer. Each is mixed with a classic grey creating a soft and modern look. At 700gms per metre this fabric matches the robustness of our Strathspey Tweed and is equally practical for upholstery, curtains and carpet.

TULCHAN TARTAN

Here we have two sofas upholstered in the Tulchan Tartan which was designed and woven for Tulchan Estate by the Mill. These sofas add warmth and colour to one of the estate’s fishing huts located on the picturesque banks of the River Spey.

We hope to have stimulated your imagination with these photographs, taken from a selection of customers’ ideas for fulfilling the potential of our unique and hardwearing cloth.
